Re: Album listening party in Manchester 12 October 2019!

No pre-booked family long weekend holiday excursion to Wales is going to stop me from attending this 'once in a 30 year event'. See you there!!

Re: New 808 State album "Transmission Suite" out 11 Oct 2019

Typical that my two favourite tracks from the EPs don't appear on the album, Spiral Arms and Bataglia.

If the EPs are to go by, it's going to be an epic listen. The sounds are swirling around my head 24/7 with their addictive beats.

Re: New 808 State EP "Initial Granada Report" out 12 July 2019

Bataglia seems to be the strongest of the tracks and was the one that certainly got the crowd going at Bluedot. As it's catalogue number BOBSTATE, a nice touch would be an 808GREAVES mix of one of the tracks further down the line, a tribute to the legend that was BOB Greaves that presented Granada R...

Decided to get a weekend ticket as Saturday day tickets were sold out. Planning to 'live' in my van for a few days

Re: Record Store Day 2019: 808 State - 4LP box

SPOILER ALERT IF YOU HAVE THE ALBUM AND HAVEN'T PLAYED IT YET THEN BEST NOT TO READ THIS MESSAGE : Queued for 2 hours not expecting to get a sniff, but as I got nearer to the door I looked through the window and could see the 808 cover staring straight at me. Luckily I was the first to get one of t...

Re: Record Store Day 2019: 808 State - 4LP box

The store closest to me (8 miles away) has 2 copies in, so I think most stores probably only get 2 or 3 of whatever they decide to stock. I presume Manchester would get more of the 808 release, but then you're 'fighting' with more people to get it. I'll probably try and get it, not for it's content ...

Re: Record Store Day 2019: 808 State - 4LP box

Sounds like fun. Wouldn't surprise me if ancodiacobrabora is just ancodia or both tracks as they appeared on 90 but as one, rather than a new mix. ZTT have a history of sloppy errors. Not sure why Cobra Bora should appear on two different style 12"s, but not complaining. Contrique isn't really a ver...

Re: 08:08:18 - Graham Massey - Production Masterclass - PMT Manchester

A great night. A 'workstation' with various gadgetry which Graham played two improvised jams from. During the Q&A, the highlight being 'Cobra Bora' being broken down into its component parts with a description of what kit was used to create that particular sample. A good insight into the perils and ...

All the old heads coming back to the board, nice.

I've booked Manchester, but working all Xmas, but hope to book Hull and Sheffield if I can make them, as within driving distance of Manchester to get back home the same night to work the following day

Re: 808 State live at Kew Gardens, Richmond 14 July 2017

As it’s a Hacienda revival, I thought I’d do a gig review revival. Just like the old days. Queuing up was quite strange as the demographics of the crowd were not your usual, due in part to its regent location. They were a blend of all, from the classical music enthusiast to the mature music lover. F...

808s NEW track 'Spiral Arms', comes in at 38minutes. The crowd really take to this. Fitting that Bez comes on the catwalk and dances to it.

Awesome Pics.

So that's TWO new tracks played in the last two sets (and I missed both of them :( ).

Maybe a third could be played at Kew

Could these new tracks be hinting at something?
