ex:el 'deluxe' edition
Bought this as it ex:el was the first record I ever bought and IMO the best 808 ever done, however I've got a gripe with CD2, it says they are 'rare/unreleased' editions of tracks, but I reckon I already have all of them and they aren't all that 'rare' or 'unreleased': In Yer Face (Facially yours mi...

Cheers Graham! By the way I wasn't having a go there or trying to be a tw@t, it's just that that period of time is when I first got really into 808 State in a big way, and for ages and ages I remember waiting and waiting for a new release. In those days, before the interweb etc., it was much harder ...

808 in the 90s.
I finally got round to downloading some of the Sunset radio shows the other day... brilliant, lots of those tunes brought back loads of happy memories. M/cr must have been some place to be in the 90s, with all the bands, and the 808 DJs presenting a radio show every week! Up here we never had a show...

I have the same make Graham mentioned. Mines are Grado Labs 125s, they're excellent, really clear but a bit fidgety at first. My brother brought them back from the States as a present last year. They cost a flaming fortune (around 200 quid I think) but are worth it if you're going to use em a lot. D...

Regarding the Gorgeous '93 tour, the Glasgow Barrowlands gig was cancelled on the day, 26th Feb. Me and my mate had bought tickets for it, 808 were supposed to be signing copies of the album in HMV in Argyle Street, that never happened either! We only found out it was cancelled when we turned up at ...

Bush out!
Best (UK) coverage I've seen so far.... http://www.guardian.co.uk/uselections2004/ Also, tonight's Question Time (BBC1) is live from Miami with a panel including Mick Moore (yay!) and some guy who used to write speeches for Bush or something (boo!), plus other American political type people and the ...

John Peel R.I.P.

Terrible news.
A genius and a man who was all about the music.
Really sad.

I think contactually the rights to Outpost re now ours (ie their side of the contact doesnt hold up) so we ll have to see with time (and agro ) :-? If ...
