METAL GEAR SOLID.

You work for a company that deals with Metal Gear? Wow that shit is cool man :D 8) I am so looking forward to Metal Gear Solid 3. Hopefully it will be out next year in England. I can't wait, that is top of my list as well as Resident Evil Outbreak, both on PS2. You get to see all this stuff before a...

808 state on the news.

As you know there was a lot in the news about music piracy today but did anyone see the news at ten? My mom saw a copy of Outpost Transmission on TV when they were showing a short film of pirate CDs on a market stall.

Was she seeing things or did anyone else see it?

Nick.

I thought Pacific 909 was excellent too. I love that remix. Open Your Mind got me too the first time i played Lift CD single. The beginning of Joyrider A Natural Mix did it for me too and also the first time i heard the Mancunian Delight Mix of In Yer Face on the TV program A Short Film About Chilli...

A Short Film About Chilling

There was a program on BBC2 years ago called a short film about chillin'. It featured 808, The Farm, and other bands. Andy and Graham were interviewed and it was about the Ibiza scene when it was new and fresh. I remember a live set of 808 doing In Yer Face and i know that thats the best In Yer Face...

pacific 303?

It's probably Pacific 212. Is that the same version as the live set when 808 supported The Happy Mondays? Martin Price says at the begining " Re-make, remodelled of the big one. Thankyou Gerald! " at that gig and there is definitly chanting at the begining. The 303 version has the chanting later on ...

My mistake

SORRY MY MISTAKE. The picture in question was in IM&RW august 91. I think that the IM&RW means something like International Music & Recording World. I don't have the mag, just the clipping.

Slowboat

I like Slowboat too. That track as well as 606 jumped out at me the first time i listened to Outpost. The other tracks on the album grew on me with each play but Slowboat is a f***ing classic :D

One reason for buying the English version if you do not live in Britain.

MONDONET

I just recieved a copy of Trance Europe Express double CD featuring an 808 track called Mondonet. I got it off Ebay and bought it because of that track. I had got a copy of the track on a 12" promo a while ago but I never thought I would see a copy on CD format. 8) The funny thing was, I had seen Op...

And God Created MAN-chester

Yeah that sounds like a great idea to do an updated review of the music of the Manchester scene. I would love to share my views with you if you let me know what kind of angle you're after. Also, have you read Sarah Champions book And God Created MAN-chester? If you have not got it or seen it maybe y...

Open Your Mind

I have just been listening to my Lift CD single. I got it as soon as it was released all those years back and i think that it still Bangs. Lift heavy version is real kick ass stuff but i love Open Your Mind. 8) That track should have been on an album. It f***in' rocks and yet is strangly sublime at ...

MUTE

I have a mate who is a big Erasure fan and he has had a lot of dealings with mute over the years. They don't seem to be promoting Erasure that well in recent years so i cannot see them ever giving 808 the free reign they would like if they wanted to go there. :x I really don't care who would re-rele...

pacific album

I think that it would be cool for 808 to release an album of every pacific mix they have ever done that has been recorded. The tracks should be listed in order. For example: Pacific state- origin, Pacific 0101, 202, 212 etc.... Any body remember The Shamen Progeny? A remix album of their flagship tr...

DOCTORS AND NURSES

Yeah it is a banging track. I agree totally about the name too. It should have had a cooler title to do it justice. You listening Graham, Andy and Daz. If you ever release it as a single, change the name so it grabs peoples attention. We don't mind it too much as we are fans and will buy it anyway b...
