I am not a professionally qualified doctor but I used to have a section on the Silky Express radio show on Trip fm 88.0 in Australia called 'Club Casualties with Dr. Walsh' :) I was meant to try and sort out the heads of people in clubland with problems. I did my best! :) Mr.Egg - most of my staff a...

I went on the march today, it was brilliant! :)

There was a real carnival atmosphere; people of all ages, thousands of people blowing whistles - all very acid house really. :)

And, of course, there was the toppling of the Bush statue which is going to be seen by millions of people world-wide... :)

Shaun Ryder album :)

Has anyone else heard Shaun Ryders' album? In my opinion it is really good and is probably not what a lot of people might have been expecting. It's a lot more dance-orientated that any of his non re-mixed stuff with the Happy Mondays or Black Grape. :) He's still a bit of a ruff-neck and a gob-shite...

Tea/house nation related story...

Talking of tea-bags, you might like to hear this little nugget: In the summer I went to see Steve 'Silk' Hurley dj @ Angel Deelite in Manchester. It was a really brilliant night, top vibe and Steve 'Silk' was on great form dropping lashings of really funky, phat vocal house (he even dropped a really...

Chemical Bros program is on their web-site aswell... :)

www.astralwerks.com/chemical/default.html It's quite an interesting program - there's The Chemical Brothers talking about their 10 years of making music, and various aspects around this. Various alternative types talk about the influence The Chemical Brothers have had on them, and on dance and rock ...

Hi Nick, I heard the first in the series - twas good! :) It was all Madchester and no 808 (808 being nowt to do with 'Madchester' really as has been said before). Had the likes of Bez, Mani, Shaun Ryder, Inspirals and Peter Hooton speaking on it about various things such as music, flares, gear, etc....

Gerald @ Sankey's - Tribal Sessions 3rd birthday - review :)

What a brilliant night! :) Best night I've ever had in there/equal best with Cosmic Twins (Derrick May and Francoise K back to back) :) Gerald played a 2 hour set which wasn't long enough for me (and a lot of people there) by several hours! He played across the board - showcasing some of his many st...

Actually, not very 'sorted' at all, really thinking about it...or are the indie tunes re-mixed or originals, Markus?

Yeah - there's some dodgy choices on that compilation isn't there?

But, then again, MoS are a dodgy organisation really aren't they?

I wonder who they paid to sort the track listing out?

Must have been on some good gear

Keeps the vibe alive in one form or another though doesn't it? :)

Acid house revival :)

Manchester music from the late '80's and early 90's seems to be making a comeback in the mainstream. :) I've seen two new compilations - one called 'Sorted' (a MoS compilation) and another new 'Madchester' one (saw it in Tescos - can't remember the name!) which had 808 State tracks on them. :) A bit...

Live show @ In The City review

The venue was really cool in a reclaim the streets, Tony Wilson on the legal roadblock stylee, with house sound-systems and reggae sound-systems and people dancing all down the street! :) So, to the 808 performance. Coming on after several uninspirational indie bands wasn't the best start. There was...
