NME gave it 3/10, but then again they gave Autechre's Untilted 2/10 and Oasis' Be Here Now more than What's The Story (Morning Glory)?, which among many, many others are awful cock-ups by the NME writers. If past experience is right that probably means that this album is pretty darn good (NME even a...

I guess there was the Massonix album and the Wang! performance, if the DAT of that comes through it would kind of act as a modernisation of the original 808 State acid sound...I thought it sounded remarkably relevant and contemporary in today's world of throwback acid/techno tracks. As for a new ful...

DAMN RIGHT!! :D Also, 808:90 features in the book '1001 Albums To Hear Before You Die', described as 'the artistic statement the rave generation were previously denied'. 808 are so underrated nowadays though :-?, does no-one realise that 'Newbuild' is the best acid album ever hands-down (IMHO! :) )?

Net Labels and their music.
(On Dee3s advice :D ...) There are a fair few good net-labels out there offering free music, that is also of a high quality. As well as www.thinner.cc and www.audioaubergine.com (as both mentioned in the 'mixes to download...' thread), there are others and also labels that offer their previously rel...

The Thinner stuff is really great, why are so many net labels completely overlooked??? I recommend www.audioaubergine.com too, their releases from Paul Blackford should appeal to fans of 808.
But I digress. Keep up the mixes Dee3!

Yeah I met Sean at the Wang! party too! We didn't talk a lot about the new album, though. I thought 'Untilted' had some mind boggling moments so im looking forward to it! Or maybe they're going to go crazy and go back to the dancefloor styles of 'Cavity Job'??? :P Also, the new Gescom EP has some br...
