This TuneID thread is someone looking for a 1993 track that in my ears is much Pacific influenced.

I noticed the drums in Cubik are also present in "The Only Rhyme that bites" and The Shamens - Human NRG.

It's not the first time 808 State gets ripped by Sega and Sonic - remember Lift on Sonic 2?Lemanic wrote:Listen to this Tune and then we talk.

This is "Pacific" in a Japanese Sped-up kinda way.
Re: Sampling 808 State
Every time I hear The Stone Roses "I Am the Resurrection', I think of "Tunes Splits the Atom". Did either track sample the other, or was it just a coincidence? My copy has gone AWOL so I can't check the credits.
Re: Sampling 808 State
808 sampled the Roses, I remember there was huge issues over the royalties on that one.

That wouldn't be Massey's mix of Human NRG would it?tie32101 wrote:I noticed the drums in Cubik are also present in "The Only Rhyme that bites" and The Shamens - Human NRG.
Loved The Shamen, well maybe not Mr. C as much as Colin & Will.
