808state live @ Bloom Festival 13 Aug 2006

Post by markus »

Stop press: Literally confirmed as we speak, 808 State will be headlining the Bloom Festival at Larmer Tree Gardens near Salisbury (Wiltshire) on 13 August 2006! The festival runs from 11 - 13 August and 808 will be closing it on the Sunday night. More info on the Bloom Festival website. :) :) :)

Just investigated this.

One-day tickets are 50 quid (which you can pay by Paypal from the site).

Trains run from London Waterloo to Salisbury and take about an hour and a half, with a bus ride that takes you from Salisbury to the festival (about 17+ miles away).

Gatwick to Salisbury is about a 40 minute to an hour train ride, changing at Clapham Junction. Heathrow Airport is about 45 minutes (or so) via the Picadilly Line (could be hot in the middle of August)!

Obviously, a hotel will need to be booked at Salisbury for the Sunday night, unless anyone's driving back? :)

Ideal birthday present, then - a nice picturesque festival (max 3,000 punters), and not that far away! 8)

And 808 don't play live that often nowadays...

Come on Rodders, I've got to find around £300 to pay for this trip and I'm up for it! :(

Is Middlesbrough in another country now or do you need to update your profile?
