Yes, I was wondering how long it's going to take before being requested to be removed ;)

That's a tricky one - how to indoctrinate without making it too obvious. After all, there comes a point when anything their parents listen to is probably deemed uncool... ;)

Too late for me, Dee. My daughter loves Sugababes!

To Markus: My seven-year old daughter already gives me a "Paris Hilton"-esque look regarding certain tracks played here at Casa-dee3!
To Pob: That could've been worse - and lemme guess: her daddy likes to watch their "Greatest"-DVD too, right...?
To Nick: Didn't want stir up a shit-storm on that one! Although the sample from ********** is sorta obvious! 8)

And FYI, the Danish-equiv to Postman Pat stood me up today due to the national hols - so it'll probably arrive tomorrow, instead...! :D

My copy finally arrived....

It is phenomenal listening to all this amazing early music. I have to tip my hat to the group for including 'In Yolk' because you can hear the explorations that later became essential in the direction they've always taken in their recordings.

I'm happy Graham clarified that 'Quadra'state was inspired namely by the Arp Quadra. I was going to ask that actually now that I own and am totally in love with my Arp Odyssey II (2813).

Was sexy synthesizer inspired by a particular synth at all? What synth was being honoured in the namesake of that track? (I'm guess the Arp 2600 or Odyssey... or Memory Moog)

Cheeers!

PFC!

iDJ Magazine have an article on 808 IN THE STUDIO to coincide with the release of Quadrastate.

(Summer 2008 edition - mainly blue with Felix Da Housecat on the front, the article is a couple of pages from the back)

Includes obligitory 'Page from Graham's filofax' and 'pic of Gerald with big hair'

Got my copy on Friday - great stuff!!

The extra tracks really compliment the original quadrastate EP.

And to think that it all atarted out as a joke.

Can't wait for the other albums. What a year for 808 fans.

Oh, there seem to be a couple of errors in that article - for instance, it was Graham that had access to the professional studio, not Andy & Daz! :P
