1000 Albums To Listen to Before You Die...

Post by nickking » 27 Nov 2007 23:44

Recent music article from The Guardian:

"808 State
Ex:El (1991)
Their 1989 single Pacific State had an enormous impact on the development of acid house, techno and ambient. But it was Ex:El, released at the height of Madchester, that was 808's electronic dance masterpiece, featuring vocal contributions from Björk and Bernard Sumner, and the hands-in-the-air Hacienda classics Cubik and In Yer Face."

Also, 808:90 features in the book '1001 Albums To Hear Before You Die', described as 'the artistic statement the rave generation were previously denied'. 808 are so underrated nowadays though :-?, does no-one realise that 'Newbuild' is the best acid album ever hands-down (IMHO! :) )?
