Is that an 808 laser image floating in the air or just a trick of the light ?

truly amazing gig

Post by daley_123 »

i remember looking at my watch after about the first hour of this gig and less than 20 minutes had passed, the set was about 53 mins but felt like 2.5 hours...

walking out thinking "i wonder if anyone knows what just happened in there" - and it hit me, i've seen these guys before, yes it was glastonbury quite a few years ago now, but i suddenly remembered as the feeling was exactly the same at the end, the confusion and astonishment, the loss of grip on time - a sudden "wait, i've been here before!" - but amazing how that feeling suddenly invoked the memory of having seen them before about 11 years ago? something in my head has been programmed anyway

808 state you mashed me up again, thank you so much, fabulous gig

looking forward to the next

Were 808 State featured on either of the showings?

I saw most of the second one but didn't see them at all.

channel 4 are ********, no clips of 808, Aphex, Human league or even The Specials!

watched both, most of it was filming those in fancy dress, they did show Underworld - Born Slippy though!

its repeated tonight & tomorrow on that 4th channel, if it wasn't for shameless and simpsons i wouldn't watch the channel

amen

Yeah I watched it and was disappointed. The best bits for me were Beardyman at the beginning and the brass band version of KLF's What Time Is Love!

You're right, Pete, most of it was pictures of people dressed up and loads of clips of people sat in that chuffin' boat! What was that about?

Boo! :(

What a shame - I saw the second part and I agree there was way too many clips of people and not enough music. Bad show CH4.

MTV Dance have got a Bestival Special on tonight at 9:00 (repeated at 1:00 tomorrow morning).

Hopefully, it won't be the same as the Channel 4 show and, given the genre of the channel, we should see some good stuff.

Fingers crossed!

Nope. It was pants again. They played 5 videos of acts who were at Bestival, mixed in with footage of people.

Why don't they understand that when they put on a show that is supposed to be a live festival - we actually want to see the live acts that were at the festival?
