Ex:el ending
I've just been on HMV's site and had a look at the tracklistings for 808's reissues next month. I see that "Ex:el" CD1 now ends with "Techno bell" rather than "Olympic", which I'm quite pleased about, as I always thought the flutey mix of "Olympic" was far weaker than the Euro Bass mix, and "Techno bell" seemed a better way to end the album. Does anyone know if "Olympic" was just considered a bonus track on the original "Ex:el"?
It wasn't on the vinyl, so in that respect you're right about it being a CD bonus track. Which puzzles me to this day. Olympic Flutey Mix is so wonderful and it was a mistake to omit it generally. I would have taken out Lambrusco Cowboy. Ex:El is otherwise a complete and perfect album. True classic.

I didn't include this in the other thread because I was asking as much about the original version as about the reissue.
I'm glad "Ex:el" is being preserved as per the original vinyl. Although to be honest, with the original issue I'd have taken out "Cübik" and left in the Euro Bass mix of "Olympic" – just because "Cübik" was so old at the time, and I associate it much more with the "Ninety"/"Extended pleasure of dance" era. But then, I'm a stickler ...
