When can we expect a release in the U.S.? Especially in SF....
Or will we have to buy the import?

If you want it any time soon you would be better off getting an import from Japan where the album has already been released. God only knows when it will be released in Britain, the rate it's going it won't be this year.

You might wait until the UK release and then check out www.HMV.COM
They usually get UK releases and list them at domestic prices(around $12.99 U.S.). Shipping is usually $3.95 for 1 item and $5 for 2 item.

Got my Outpost Transmission yesterday from Japan. It took about 5 days to get it and I paid about $25-$30 USD.

For once living on the west coast I didnt have to wait longer like the old days when ordering an 808 single it had to travel from the UK.

U.S. Distribution again....

Postby pacific707 » 21 Nov 2002 00:06

This is a somewhat difficult decision....I made the mistake of buying the Japanese release of Orbital's "The Altogether" only to find 2 months later that the U.S. release included an extra CD of remixes from the previous album. I paid about $30 at the local Virgin store here in S.F. The U.S. 2-CD version was $18. I guess it all depends on what the damn thing sounds like!!! What of it? Is "Outpost Transmission" worth $30 for the Japanese import?
I sure hope it is........

I think there is a possibility of bonus tracks on the US release. But when it will be released is in the stars...
