Cubik/Pacific

I don't know if this is old news, but I was in HMV in Ipswich on Saturday and I happened across a stand with some unusual looking vinyl.

It turned out to be re-releases of some early nineties dance tunes. To my surprise it included one with the orginal 12" versions of Cubik and Pacific.

They were priced at £6.99 each or £15 for three.

High Street Exclusive

Aparently HMV are now exclusive High Street resellers of the SimplyVinyl range, as you will now notice stamped on the sleeves. They are on offer at £15 for 3 because HMV then bought a bucket load of them and quite a few of them will never sell.

It's nice to see a big name store take an interest in 808 again. Virgin Wankastore take note.

Now, lets not be nasty about Mr Branson stores, I actually found a copy of Outpost Transmission in my local store in Belfast. Mind you it was only the ONE copy, against the ten that have sold in HMV.

Maybe miracles do happen then.
I suppose I can't really talk as I get my mobile phones from him. That's phones, not phone. I must learn that they don't like pavements. :P
