So hot or not so hot? / Radio Ga-Ga

Post by Mark » 11 Sep 2004 20:38

Just had my first taster of the So Hot version of Blue Monday. Its in a very similar style to Newbuild with some high pitched 'yeahs' over a squidgy acid bassline and Gerald singing 'Its so hot' After about 2:20 the Blue Monday tune kicks in. Quality stuff.

Lets hope Prebuild is more of the same.

Have also heard Graham's mix of 'Radio' Its much better than the original (but that's not hard to be fair) but I think its gonna take a few listens to grow. I don't think its going to feature on the CD release as a b-side track and is only intended as a promo?

Very efficient Warp I must say, ordered Thursday night, arrived Saturday.

I prefer the Confusion mix on first listen, may not play it for some time now as its starting to Warp, no pun intended.

My Robbie Promo arrived today. Similar to Schwemmi's only mine says Graham Massey : Radio. No client written on.

HMV have New Order remixes listed as 20th Sep. My local store was of no use at all, certainly not on shelves today.

Heard the Massey remix of 'Radio' today, can't say that it does anything for me really, but very hard job polishing up a not very good tune!!!!

I find it confusing (pun intended) to discuss two items in one subject. If possible, try to stick to an existing subject. That way it's much easier to follow threads, especially later on.

So hot has just arrived at the "Loud-store" in Copenhagen, Denmark. Great stuff - both trax. Confusion is pure quality - can't wait for prebuild! - should arrive next week in Denmark... :D

Talking about confusion; the first 10-15 secs. of the track appeas to be in a bad state - sound quality wise. - is that just my copy??? :x

Must be your copy mate, mine seems fine. Maybe the inhouse DJ played it to death first? :)
