Ive been unfortunate to hear System 7 twice live, it has to be the most dullest experience. I pity anyone who has to go through what I went through.

Only my opinion, but there was no emotion to the music, it was just a drone from start to finish. Granted the last time I saw them was 6 years ago and maybe they've improved but you dont ever forget standing for an hour bored out yer skull.

I saw them in 1996 at Lowlands (same festival as 808 state). I can remember really enjoying it, though it was pretty mindless trance. A lot better than today's trance mind you!
Well Nick and I are considering going to the Gong Unconvention (featuring the two Graham's of Toolshed), no doubt that will be a slightly different System 7.

I really like System 7 live - fantastic - I would be up for the Slough event, but it clashes with New Order playing at Athens...

Saw them twice a couple of years ago in Shoreditch (with support from Eat Static - also superb) and at Concorde 2 in Brighton.

Looking forward to seeing them at the Gong Convention in November! :)

coming next week!

FennerFest are proud to announce the final Maharajah Cabaret before the 2006 summer festival season, with the first live show of 2006 from Steve Hillage and System 7. FennerFest are delighted that System 7 have chosen Vikrams Occasions Palace in Slough to launch their tour of UK festivals

Steve has been at the forefront of the British music scene since the late 60's, playing with such bands as Gong as well as pioneering what is now known as "ambient" music. After many years of producing albums for bands such as Simple Minds, Robyn Hitchcock and the Charlatans, he returned to recording himself when his earlier work inspired dance acts such as The Orb in the early 90's, together with his partner Miquette Giraudy to form the phenemonal System 7.

System 7 mix blistering dance beats with layers of psychedelic guitar rhythms, all building up to be the most uplifting live music performance. Good times and smiles guaranteed - http://www.a-wave.com/system7/

Support from festival regulars HeadJam playing their own unique blend of psychedelic-dub-rock, and the quite legendary Handsome Pete

Vikrams Occasions Palace is a unique punjabi banquetting hall, situated in the centre of Slough, that quite simply has to be seen to be believed

FennerFest are a Slough based community-arts group who first came together in protest against the 2003 Gulf War, and have been involved in peace, social justice and music events ever since - more info on http://www.fennerfest.co.uk All proceeds donated to local progressive causes
