CLUBBERS IN FOR A TREAT AS EARTHDANCE - THE GLOBAL FESTIVAL FOR PEACE COMES TO CAMBRIDGE

Clubbers are in for a treat on 20th/21st September 2003 as Silky Productions and eco-peace enterprises presents EARTHDANCE (www.earthdance.org) at The Light Bar and The Old School House in Cambridge. :)

EARTHDANCE is the annual global festival for peace with hundreds of parties taking place across the globe during the weekend 20th/21st September 2003, and The Light Bar, Silky and eco-peace invites you to join the millions all over the world dancing for peace on this special night.

There are two rooms - the GLOBAL GROOVES room - where Light Bar resident dj's SARAH, BIG SOUL STU and JONNY ANGEL are going to be joined by Silky dj, DJ GUSTIN (www.djgustin.com), and the GLOBAL REVOLUTION room where the dj's are Silky dj's SHAUN DE BAUCH, JAMIE (also a Mixmag resident dj), MATTIO'C (from Canada) and SEAN MAC. :)

Expect to hear different styles of music ranging from soul, funk and house to trance and breakbeat to keep you ecstatic and dancing all night long... :)

EARTHDANCE was founded in 1997 and has gone from strength to strength ever since. Each year Earthdance raises vital money and awareness for humanitarian and environmental charities. One of the globally unifying aspects is a special ambient spiritual track called 'Prayer For Peace' which is played at midnight gmt at every party around the world. This year is going to be the biggest year ever for Earthdance. :)

SILKY is a global dance music productions company which was formed as a tribute to the late, great GLOBAL UNDERGROUND dj TONY DE VIT (www.tonydevit.co.uk) and is 5 years old this year. Silky parties have taken place in both Northern and Southern hemispheres and previous guest dj's have included GLOBAL UNDERGROUND/RENAISSANCE dj DAVE SEAMAN, Australian breakbeat supremo PHIL K, Zero Tolerance Records head honcho GAB OLIVIER and New York house dj PRINCE QUICK MIX (PQM). :)

Silky co-promoter 'dr.' walsh said "A Silky dj - Jonny Angel - is already a resident at Light Bar and at Silky parties we like to create quite a spiritual atmosphere. The Light Bar is the place for enlightenment so we decided this would be a perfect venue for our first Earthdance. We are going to adding extra decor, flying in two of our resident dj's from overseas and giving out a free CD. 50% of the profit from the party is going to SURVIVAL INTERNATIONAL (www.survival-international.org) who support indigenous peoples world-wide with issues such as landclaims, health, etc.

Clubbers are advised to buy or reserve tickets as soon as possible as there are only 150 tickets available.

The Light Bar party is from 8pm-1am and at 1am close special gift packs with a FREE Survival International 'Tribal Futures' cd (featuring Graham Massey and Colin Seddon, Leftfield, The Orb and Banco De Gaia) and copies of the newspaper 'Positive News' are going to be given out to keep grins on faces. :)

From 1am-8am the party is going to be at Kic-Art at The Old School House in Cambridge. :)

Here, there is going to be a web-cast and streamed footage from parties around the world on a big screen by the dancefloor. :)

The Silky dj's are going to be joined by dj STU BRADLEY from Liverpool. Stu plays deep progressive house and breaks full of funky basslines and holds residencies in his home city at STRATEGY @ ZANZIBAR and CLUB CONNECTED (www.clubconnected.co.uk). He recently won a mixmag dj competition - the prize was playing at the Glastonbury Festival! :)
