In Yer Face cover

Post by loopdokter »

Hi,

I've done a cheeky cover of In Yer Face and sort of 'modernized' it for the dancefloor. I was looking to get a hold of Graham Massey in some way because I'd like to release it and the like.

Could someone please put me in touch?

Thanks,
Jay

You could try Graham through this forum with a personal message, his user name is graham. However I think if you want an official release, it has to go through ZTT...

Thanks for the hints.

Yeah, I'll get up a version on MySpace in the near future. It just occurred to me that I have him on my MySpace and I believe Facebook as well.

The thought occurred to me that ZTT might be interested in doing a 20 years of 808 State thing with remixes of their older tracks. It's even more poignant since it's 2008.

I've had a listen and there are some good ideas in there. Like you say, it is more of a modern dancefloor stomper now.

Good job.

I second what Markus and Pob wrote...

Could this perhaps be a worthy candidate for the "Music/Fan Mixes"-section...?

d.

P.S. Wouldn't mind a copy of this, BTW... (Leach-mode:OFF)

Due to the legalities of the mix, I'm no longer putting it out there and seeking an official release. That said, certain DJs have it in their possession and you might hear it when you're out clubbing.

I really appreciate the kind words people. I did my best to keep the integrity of the original.

Is this another victim of legal threats from ZTT? Blimey, you'd think they'd like some free publicity and a buzz being created about some tunes they're about to re-release.

Actually, that's not the case at all. I want to go the legal route on getting this out there and in order to do that, I have to 'abide' by the rules considering the mix wasn't commissioned.

Having past experience with being given a cease and desist order from Warners for a Depeche Mode thing I did, I'd like to go the legal route on this one. Plus I really do want to see it get the light of day!

Thanks for clearing that up loopdokter. With the DVD thing that's been going on on another thread I thought ZTT were on a mission.

I think it's very sensible to remove it. You'll stand a better chance of getting it released if you abide by the rules.

Good luck.
