Excellent news, keep me posted about the Dutch visit, looking at the website it looks like Cummins is in The Hague on the 21st November and Antwerp on the 22nd?
Hope to hear that 20 minute music piece one day! Shame it won't be in the book.

Got the book this morning - very nice, but couldn't see any 808 pics in there whilst browsing (very briefly) through the book.
When I get back from Manchester this Sunday (going up to see Orbital on the Friday and Saturday nights), I'll have another look... I might just be able to look through a book of pictures on the Sunday evening, but anything that will require more brainpower will be out of the question!

Seems strange then that he asked Massey to be involved?

Yup, definitely no 808-related photos in the book - some good ones of Joy Division, The Buzzcocks, The Fall, Oasis, New Order, The Smiths, etc...

Had similar Pinnochio-feeling after seeing 24 Hour Party People, which dissapointed me on a couple of other matters.

From
http://www.cerysmaticfactory.info/
Kevin Cummins @ The Roundhouse
There's a new addition to the list of events accompanying the launch of the new Kevin Cummins book Manchester: Looking For The Light Through The Pouring Rain .
The event takes place at the Roundhouse in London on 9 November 2009 and will feature
a screening of a 20-minute film of the photos in the book edited to a specially-composed soundtrack by Graham Massey. This will be followed a talk about Manchester with Paul Morley, Kevin Cummins, Mike Pickering and another guest. All this, plus a Q&A session and a book signing.
Ticket details are still to be confirmed but we will announce them as soon as we have them.

Fab news, and considering it's a Monday, I should be around in London to go to it!
