There is art work as of yesterday , just hung up on a few license issues at the moment..
trying to get a balance of hits so the youth gets the history and exclusives so its not the same stuff you ve got,but now its a single cd it makes it a bit harder.

Good news.

Shame it's only a single CD, to be honest you'd probably fill it with 'singles' alone, never mind any exclusive stuff. I think Quincy's and Invader have got to appear, but the inclusion of these along with all the others would surely make it hard to add any bonus tracks, and that's presuming nothing from OT makes it on as there were never any singles released from it (although I suppose Quincy's could be classed)

Oh well, you can't have your cake and eat it!! At least something will appear.

I thought this was a late April Fools for a minute, I'd forgotton all about this.

It would be good if some tracks from Outpost could appear, as this album deserves a resurgence. If Invader, Quincy 7inch version and Suntower appeared along with the obvious tracks then this should satisfy newbies and oldies. Oh, and the exclusive never before released track obviously, and maybe an exclusive 2011 Pacific mix, oh I'm getting carried away now.

It's good that it's a Best of and not just a singles compilation, like the last.

Sounds promising.

Sounds very promising. :D

Sorry to drift slightly, but I take it the North At Its' Heights re-issue is dead in the water now?

Good things come to those who wait eh?

Can't blame me for being a little over-enthusiastic, it's been a while!

808 State - Blueprint
Posted on 22.07.11

Zang Tuum Tumb and Salvo Music are proud to present... Blueprint, 808 State's greatest bits, from 1988 to the present day. The very best of the psychoecstatic, trance-inducing, groove-riding, techno-funkalogical sound of 808 State.

808 State are… ‘masters of their art’ (Q), ‘pioneers’ (Future Music), ‘for sonic trailblazing and inestimable influence, among our most important groups’ (Record Collector), and ‘Godfathers’ (Nude), who ‘sketched the blueprint for British techno as we know it’ (Mixmag).

The blueprint audio: features guest vocals from Guy Garvey and Björk, remixes by Aphex Twin, Monkey Mafia, Trevor Horn and Brian Eno, and collaborations with Simian and James Dean Bradfeld.

808 present brand new, revisited reversions of In Yer Face, Timebomb, Cobra Bora, Nimbus, and 606. 808 unearth rare remixes of Pacific State, Flow Coma, Cübik, Plan 9, Lopez and a previously-unreleased The Word production mix of Olympic. 808 deliver two brand new tracks: Metaluna and Spanish Ice. 808 do this for you.

The blueprint document: features extensive interviews with Graham Massey, Darren Partington and Andrew Barker by Paul Morley, a foreword by Paul Hartnoll from Orbital, and contributions from The Prodigy, Moby and Future Sound of London.

Blueprint is released on 05 September 2011. Click to the Catalogue section for the full track list, and click to to the Zang Tuum Shop to pre-order.

This looks excellent. :D

Although it says 'Pacific - original', it is timed at 5:52, so is it an edit of some sort?
