FON studio information wanted

Post by solarex »

Anybody know of online resources with information on the FON studio in Sheffield? An umbrella, that as far as I can see also spawn a record store and label.

there s a programme on Sky Arts at the moment called ~~"The Beat is the Law" , about the 90 s Sheffield music scene,
which is more or less the Fon story...with interviews with a lot of the Fon gang, a few 808 mentions
film made in 2010

Looks to be yet another documentary about a slice of brilliant British indie music.

Will dig out.

Thanks.

I think there's also a DVD called "Made In Sheffield" - that may have a bit about FON Studio in that? It's a DVD on my wants list.

That's the one - as I say, dunno if it has anything about FON on there, but it's apparently a very good documentary on the Sheffield music scene regardless (Cabaret Voltaire, Human League, Heaven 17, etc).
