"As part of 6 Music Celebrates: Dance Culture, Tom Robinson invites listeners to curate 120 minutes of music and memories of Manchester's most famous club; the Haçienda, which opened its doors 30 years ago this week.

Set up by Factory Records impresario Antony Wilson, Rob Gretton and New Order, the club went on to play a pivotal role in UK dance music culture, leading the acid house revolution and launching the careers of A Guy Called Gerald, 808 State and K-Klass, amongst others.

Although it closed down in 1997, the Haçienda has left a musical legacy only equalled by the likes of Studio 54 and the Paradise Garage, providing the soundtrack to a generation of clubbers.

Three decades after it first opened, Tom Robinson invites the 6 Music audience to share their memories of the club and its music online to shape the ultimate Haçienda playlist. There are also contributions from former Hacienda DJs Justin Robertson, 808 State and Graeme Park."
