hi mateys, just tought id say hello. n let every one of you "chips peas n gravey" lovers now that i'll be submittin all of my sunset shows all 3years late 89 /92(to the 808 web page)to convertin them, whatch this space!

hi matey, like i said really have all the shows but its gona take time , in the process of sortin my pc to convert, any help would be appreciated

Dozy hole here asked the Dixons guy if they did a Hi Fi that allowed you to record tapes onto CDR, thinking if you can record CD onto tape you should be able to do it the other way round, but no, nobody does one.
Anyhow I believe that a different system is needed to convert tapes to PC, one which is just going to confuse me so although I have tapes I'll leave it in the hands of the professionals (shy etc).
I do have one tape which is fantastic from start to finish which stands out musically from the rest, if somebody wants me to forward them this to convert them drop me a line.

Jeezzz, what a bunch of dorks at Dixons!
If it's any comfort, they're just as lame over here in Denmark (however with the odd exceptions, mind)!
Anyway, since I don't own a (qualified) tape-deck anymore
(haven't owned one for years), I'm afraid that I can't help you here!
But...
Don't you know anyone who owns a computer with a decent
soundcard onboard (i.e.: geeky friends or relatives), and are willing to help you out
(by bribing them or extorting them or performing, errr, favours for them in some way)?
If so, then get a signal-cable with phono-plugs in one end
and a 1/8" (I believe it is) mini-jack plug on the other (Dixons should have this).
Use this cable to plug the tape-deck to the computer's
soundcard's line-input (NOT the mike-input) 'n' then record it on the HD.
Subsequently, you can then burn a CD with whatever that used to be on the cassette.
Anyone out there ready to help Steve on this one?
