By the way, I remember there were loads of great shows in '93. As I recall, the guys were touring the States and Asia for a while and Dr D filled in for them. When they returned, they had loads of new tunage which was quality! I distinctly remember some of the Summer '93 shows where they played a really funny 'joke kinda' tune whith a Spanish guy singing on it ("Meet Mr Sanchez" or some't??). I also remember there were some wicked tunes in the E-Bloc top 10 around then. Absolutely loving be able to re-listen to the shows, which I used to listen to every Tuesday between the ages of 13 and 15! Complete nostalgia and sentimentality for me! Absolutely loved it. Was also a regular Mix Factory listener. That was half my lifetime ago....time flies!

Marcus, that's excellent. Can't wait! Can't stop listening to these shows now. Bringing back the memories! Tuesday were always something to look forward to. Remember went Sunset went down and it all ended. I was gutted! Until they reappeared on Kiss 102 a couple of years later ;) The Sunset days were in a class of their own though!

93 was a good year wasn't it Dave.
Couldn't wait for Tuesday's to come round, I remember my mate used to Record them all.

When did Sunset end was it around October 93?, compared to Galaxy now, Kiss was top.

Hi Ian, I used to tape them all mate. Sunset ended sometime around August-September '93 I think. I distinctly member them trying to broadcast using coat hangers! Tuesdays were legendary...late for school every Wednesday morning. haha. Anyone remember the live shouts that shot Live Wire to fame?? He made me piss myself ...."The Atherton Destroy Possee" HAHA. I also remember "Craze of Stalybridge" - crazy kid who used to do shouts....and then there was "MORRRRNING!" which became the sample for the La Luz track of course.
Strange story but I actually served Andy when I used to work in a famous retail catalogue shop (in my student days!). I asked him about the Kiss/Galaxy radio show and he told me that they'd been sacked as they weren't commercial enough! He was buying a bbq incidentally ;)

Hi Dave,

Yeah great Days, Sunset. After that I remember there being Stu Allan which i've more tapes of and Essential Selection and Mix but I think Dance Music went down hill after 94, still some good stuff being produced but not as much.

Thanks for the message.
