808 State REISSUES

Post by PeteZarustica » 08 Apr 2005 00:33

Am I the only one excited about the reissues?

Not only we're talking about VERY RARE BONUS TRACKS, some of which were never before seen (heard) on CD - but we're also talking about REMASTERING which would really be useful.

What are the expectations, ideas?

all the best

Yup, you're not the only one Pete, I would love to not only hear the albums remastered, but also the extra tracks (some previously vinyl-only).

Bring it on - now! :D

People may be confused as ZTT re-issues have not been announced officially yet. The only hint was in here: http://www.themilkfactory.co.uk/intervi ... eyiw_1.htm

funnily enough,my april fool rant at ztt has sparked off getting it done,
they just need potential track listings ,which Im working on now.
It would be good to see your ideas as I might have missed something.
(i know theres some in another section) . So the idea is each album and then a cd of extras and B sides.. Another Idea being Kicked about is a boxset of a general overview of the 808 years, to include rarities etc and tracks from each album but not just a greatest hits ( I guess as a sort of promo to the rereleases)

Great stuff. Let's throw this open then. Submit the tracks you think should be on rarities CDs. Focus should obviously be on hard to find stuff and tracks previously only available on vinyl. Presumibly they would have to be ZTT.

Was there any extra material made during the Quadrastate sessions that never got released?

And was there any material that never made it on 90?

This (when it happens) will be the greatest 808State present for all fans. I am looking forward to it a lot man!

keep the faith!

I'd like to see the Tommy Boy "Utd. State 90" mixes remastered:

Ancodia (us90 mix) <-- possibly my favorite 808 State track
Cobra Bora (us90 mix)
State to State (us90 mix)
Pacific 212
Pacific 718
Pacific 0101
Pacific 909
