I'm sure Nick King will be able to help, being a wiz at all things techy.
When I try to download the 808 sounds, or anything for that matter it comes up :
'Unable to access this media as you may not be connected to the network'.
Help option doesn't help me. Its worked in the past, I havent tampered with anything, what do I do to get the bugger to play my porn........i mean 808 sounds.
A prize to the person who can fix it.
....I wont even tell you about my scanner.

Windows Media Player - HELP

I'm editing my original reply as I realise it probably wasn't very helpful. For MP3 playing I recommend 'Winamp' or for playing and recording 'Musicmatch Jukebox'. For Real audio, well I'd use the 'Real' player. If you want to stick with the Windows media player, it's probably best, like Nick says, to re-install it. Unless it was all just a network problem of course...

Hi Steve,
Which player do you normally use to play the media files? I would normally recommend reinstalling the player - e.g. MediaPlayer, WinAMP, etc, which will then sort out the file types.
Another method could be to download the media file (i.e. File/Save As) rather than playing them directly off the site, and then see if this is the problem.
Anyway, let me know, and (hopefully) see ya at Glasgow!
