808 State Discussion

Well, I've had a blast on this discussion message board for 808 State, but since
my techno archive is almost at 700mb, it's time for me to depart. :(

But, before I go, I'd like to demonstrate to some of you what the early 1990s
were like (at least in the USA) by using a video that clearly ...

Well, I've been finishing my techno archive (150mb to go!) (out of 700mb :( ) and made a shocking discover
in favour of 808 State! Whilst editing the tune "The House is Mine (Original Mix)" by
The Hypnotist (I deleted the middle "hardcore" part which is actually a pretty good
tune but probably put ...

Alright, so I've been going through the ex:el CD looking for tracks for my archive and
found a discovery that others might be keen to. Now, it concerns the track
"In Yer Face". Like most of the tracks on this album, it sounds real, uh, ambient.

However, if you jack the speed up to plus x13, you get ...

If yer like me, your probably amassing a collection of mp3s of various genres from
various sources such as the Internet, Library CDs, and (of course) bought CDs in
the hopes of someday replacing them with high quality versions. You know, better
to have a sound file than just a name...

Anyone know the name of the Sunscreem remix? I've (had to) listen to several of them
AND watch the video only to find its not the right remix. THX...

Just wondering, who would win? They seem pretty evenly matched as far as I
can tell, but 808 State has wisdom while the Warriors counteract with a fierce
brashness that calls to mind their post-acid high school phase.

I think it sounds like Robin S., but a later album, but that's just how the voice sounds
and I'm sure it's another name/band.

Great house tune though, I call this stuff Urban House and "mix" it with, ya know, stuff
