808 State Discussion

Bought this as it ex:el was the first record I ever bought and IMO the best 808 ever done, however I've got a gripe with CD2, it says they are 'rare/unreleased' editions of tracks, but I reckon I already have all of them and they aren't all that 'rare' or 'unreleased':

Not sure if I fancy this at all. Ferry Corsten and his ilk represent all that I hate about music. . Hopefully it can't be that bad if it has a bit of The State in it.

I finally got round to downloading some of the Sunset radio shows the other day... brilliant, lots of those tunes brought back loads of happy memories.

I have the same make Graham mentioned. Mines are Grado Labs 125s, they're excellent, really clear but a bit fidgety at first. My brother brought them back from the States as a present last year. They cost a flaming fortune (around 200 quid I think) but are worth it if you're going to use em a lot ...

Regarding the Gorgeous '93 tour, the Glasgow Barrowlands gig was cancelled on the day, 26th Feb.

Me and my mate had bought tickets for it, 808 were supposed to be signing copies of the album in HMV in Argyle Street, that never happened either!

We only found out it was cancelled when we turned up ...
