I've bought the German version of The Catalogue (the CD box set, there will be no vinyl box). Very nice item, there is a booklet in 12" format for each album.

Especially the older CDs sound considerably better than the original releases. Computer World sounds much clearer, and a few errors have ...

Excellent stuff, not sure there's much for fans of 90 (presuming you already have Utd State 90) but it looks like the bonus discs will have some hidden gems!

Deluxe, double-CD editions of all four classic 808 State albums - Ninety, ex:el, Gorgeous and Don Solaris - are released on 08.08.08.

US mixes were usually made to push a record into the US Dance Charts, which at that time meant selling a lot of records. A high chart position in the Dance Chart also pushed sales of the album.

Volta is a wonderful album.
I especially love "The Dull flame of Desire" - awesome.

In total I consider Volta as Bjorks third best album after Vespertine and Homogenic.
Which makes it easily album of the year so far.

I have just found a German website that is dedicated to the resurrection of Rave!
Since some time it has become a no-no to use this word, at least in Germany.
