arrghh dammit! ZTT have got to release them all! I only got into 808 State after Outpost Transmission was released and was looking forward to being able to catch up on their releases. I have NAIH on vinyl but bonus disc and remastering!!! and it's hardly like ZTT have anything else to release...alth...

heck even if this is New Order's last breath they lasted better for longer than most other bands. I mean 'Get Ready' was hardly the most innovative album ever but I still really enjoy it.

From what I've seen, Quadrastate isn't out today (14th April-it's original release date, I think)...looks like Rephlex have moved it! :(

haha so true! I can't really say what the last 'classic' house album was. Just look at Warp-from Forgemasters to Maximo Park (who aren't that bad, but THEY AIN'T HOUSE MUSIC!! :P).

That's discouraging...mind you, all the other release dates (i.e. Ceephax Volume 2, that Drexciya album) have been taken off, maybe they're shuffling round their whole release schedule? :-?

Wow sounds like Guerilla were a good label. All I knew about them was that William Orbit owned it! Or something along those lines. Mind you I couldn't find that d.o.p. album on ebay-wheres the best place to look for these records??

I only got 'Gargantuan' like two weeks ago. Incredible!!!!!! A lot of people say this and 'Leftism' were the main 'progressive house' albums but i prefer this.

And although I haven't heard those remixes of Schmoo, that is one tune! :D

Two weeks ago i got another album that an 808 fan would be insane to miss out on-Gargantuan by Spooky. On an Orbital tip, but as consistent as any of their albums (which is saying something). I read about it a while ago on this forum, and seeing it in FOPP in Camden (they also had Analogue Bubblebat...

yo in answer to c)-there are several remixes of 'Bites...', for example 'The Only Rhyme That B y tes', which were available on the various formats of the 'Bites...' single. ZTT is reissuing their 808 State back catalogue (including the MC Tunes album), with each album featuring a bonus disc-the bett...

!!! yes! Is this a compilation of all the pre-Warp stuff? I remember there was a bit of controversy surrounding Plaid's 'Trainer' compilation because it was originally going to be a compilation of all the old Black Dog stuff, but it became a Plaid compilation instead. A load of people were saying th...

tracks used in videos

Since I bought Opti Buk the other day, I've been wondering about some of the mixes on some of the videos and where to get them: The mix of 'Lift' used in the video The mix of 'Oops' used in the 'live' video of the track. Also the version of 'Ancodia' is different to the one from 808:90, I'm guessing...

I had a moment of insanity the other day and bought like seven albums off warpmart (and opti buk because I heard it was being deleted). More to the point though while doing so I discovered Plaid whose 'Trainer' double CD is bound to appeal to anyone into 808. I also got the Warp 10+2 Classics album,...

Being more of a Skam/Rephlex person, Squarepusher's (and his brother Ceephax Acid Crew for that matter) more playful stuff and Luke Vibert's Kerrier District project (although that's very much disco) is the good mood music of my choice. Kerrier District 2 (2006, Rephlex) is the most uplifting EP I'v...

Yeah LFO is the only track which actually makes my car shake. :) I'm sure there are a few others that would but LFO definitely springs to mind.
