Nuits sonores 2020: The festival will not take place in late-July.

"Following the speech made by the President of the Republic on Monday 13 April, during which it was announced that "the holding of major festivals and events with large audiences will not be permitted until at least mid-July", the Arty Farty team has decided not to go ahead with its plans to stage the 2020 edition of Nuits Sonores at the end of July. The period that had been chosen for the rescheduled 18th edition of the festival – 22 to 26 July – is indeed later than the cut-off date of “mid-July”.

However, the Arty Farty team is aware of the untenable nature of this deadline. Our compliance with health-based restrictions and the health of festival goers and staff remain our number one priorities. At this stage, we need to hold new consultations with our partners, the local and national authorities, the festival teams and representatives from every level of the event production chain, in order to consider all possible scenarios: these include a further postponement of the 18th edition until later in 2020 or until May 2021.

The Dutch government has announced that, due to Corona, all festivals in The Netherlands until 1 September 2020 have to be cancelled :( This will mean the Dekmantel Festival in August can't go ahead.

Dekmantel official statement:

Dekmantel Festival moves to 2021 and brings along line-up

Following this week's announcement by the Dutch government that events will be prohibited until September 1st, we're saddened to have to postpone Dekmantel Festival 2020 to August 4 - August 8, 2021. It is a tough moment, but we're sure we do not need to explain how the pandemic has affected the lives of nearly everyone on the planet this year — we are resigned to fate as well.

While 2021 seems far away, we do have some highly positive news: we're bringing this year's Amsterdamse Bos line-up along with us to the next edition. We're appreciative that all these fantastic artists have worked with us swiftly and agreed to make themselves available to perform for you next year. News on artists scheduled for the Dekmantel Festival aan 't IJ programme (which takes place on the Wednesday and Thursday) will follow shortly too. Overall, the wait will be longer, but we promise it will be an unforgettable edition nevertheless.

All purchased tickets will be valid on the new dates. We are aware that you might have a number of questions regarding your purchase, but please hang tight – we will get in touch with all ticket holders via email very soon with full information regarding all options. In the meantime, we would like to ask for your understanding and patience.

By moving to 2021, we all have something to focus on. That said, losing Dekmantel Festival this summer does have a massive impact on our small team, as well as the wider network of people we work with all year round: musicians, artists, producers, partners, and countless freelancers. As such, we would like to take this opportunity to ask that you continue showing empathy for and actively supporting your favourite artists, labels, venues, and all other initiatives in the creative sector wherever you can. We need each other more than ever at a time of unprecedented turbulence.

Stay safe out there, take the guidelines to heart and look out for one another. We look forward to seeing you next summer.

– Team Dekmantel Festival

Kendall Calling Festival official statement:

"2020 would have been our fifteenth year partying in the Lake District. Our fifteenth anniversary shared with you all, old friends and new in the most beautiful of surroundings. But instead, heartbreakingly, it won’t.

It was not an easy decision but it is the right decision. Your health and the health of those who work behind the scenes and on the stages is and will always be paramount.

Music, friendship and the great outdoors are going to be more important to us all than ever before as we rebuild our health and communities over the coming months. We will be putting all of our efforts into ensuring that next year’s festival running from the 29th July – 1st August is everything that we had hoped for and more.

Ticket buyers will receive further details via email imminently from their place of purchase regarding the refund options. There will also be the choice to consider keeping your ticket for next year, if you are able and willing. By holding onto your ticket you will be supporting Kendal Calling at this difficult time.

Please be patient with refund requests as ticket outlets are naturally working through a higher than normal number of enquiries. If you are able to keep hold of your ticket, we would ask that you do – your support will allow us to navigate this difficult period.

For now we turn our attentions to 2021 and the festival gathering of a lifetime; we are working behind the scenes with artists and will be looking to announce 2021’s 15th (again!) birthday celebrations lineup in the coming weeks. It will be a 15th year celebration, 16 years in the making, and a once in a lifetime reconnection of our wonderful festival family. A phrase we first signed off a Facebook post with in 2008 seems more potent than ever and is sent with more love and anticipation than we can put into words… See you in the fields x "

Official statement from Toogether festival:

"As we are all aware the Covid 19 outbreak has caused every major event in the UK/World to cancel, we have however waited as long as possible with hope that our event could still go ahead, after the latest guidance from the government, local authorities, our insurance provider, and more importantly thinking about your safety we are now in the unfortunate position of having to do the same. We will be changing the date to the same weekend of next year, these dates would be Friday 30th July to the evening of Sunday 1st August 2021, whatever tickets you have purchased will be automatically carried over to next year, we are absolutely devastated about the event having to cancel but as i'm sure you understand it is impossible to go forward with the festival under these circumstances."

Official statement from Kala festival:
"Dear Kala family, it is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that Kala won’t be able to take place in 2020.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We have been monitoring the developments of the global situation closely, and after careful consideration, we have come to the conclusion that we won’t be able to run a safe and enjoyable event for our guests, staff, and Dhërmi residents this year.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Kala is meant to be a celebration and an opportunity to dance and relax in paradise for a few days and switch off from the world to be able to return to our lives with renewed energy. While we believe this is more needed than ever and have done all we could to make it happen, the reality is that Coronavirus is still a serious health threat and that we haven’t made enough progress in our collective battle against it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We need to support frontline healthcare workers and organisations around the world fighting the outbreak, and avoid contributing to the spread of the virus so we can keep making progress in the right direction.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Albania is in a relatively good situation but there is still a lot of uncertainty about how things are going to develop between now and September, and we believe it is not responsible to go ahead in this situation.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It's absolutely heart-breaking to realise that we are going to miss our little slice of paradise this summer but we are confident it will be worth the wait, and that next year we will be able to enjoy the truly magical week in the Albanian Riviera we were looking forward to.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Kala will take place 9th to 16th of June 2021. As promised, ticket holders have two options:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Option 1: Move your booking to 2021 - any amounts paid, except the deposit, will be automatically refunded
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Option 2: Cancel your booking and request a refund
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
By moving your booking to 2021 you will not only guarantee your spot, but also support Kala and the businesses that depend on us. If you are in the position to do so, your support will be greatly appreciated.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Please read the full statement on our site that includes information about how to change or refund your flights. See you next year ❤️"

To those who have already bought tickets for our UK 2020 tour. We are working hard with the tour's promoters to reschedule these performances to convenient dates in 2021, when it is safe to meet up and rave in a room together.
