I am pretty excited at the moment because in my hands I have two one sided 12" acetates from Two Fat Ladies and a Duck. The title of the song is called ..... Quack.
The song sounds like a Joyrider remix but the problem is I cannot verify that because I do not have the PROTFL01 vinyl. So I do not know if it actually is the "Joyrider - Sure Is Pure Remix" or a different song / mix.
The track starts with a repeating slipping car sample accompanied by a beat. Can someone confirm this?
So if my acetates are "Joyrider - Sure Is Pure" then I suppose the title of the song was originally intended to be "Quack". And if I remember correctly there was no song title printed on the label of the PROTFL01 version.
Further there is WEA written on it, and in that period ZTT was part of Warner. So this a good indication how close ZTT was to release that song. Does anyone know why that never happened?
Further info: One acetate is from Masterpiece and one from Masterroom, no matrix numbers, 33.3 rpm, both acetates play the same versions.
Cheers,
Henry
