kinel! another ..i think this has sleevenotes by Tim Lawrence, who wrote Love saves the day , He s very detailed and fastidious ,I did verious interviews with him and he corrected me on various things which is good

Amazing how tracks from the legendary Hac recording of Aug 89

keeps turning up on these compilations. Here is several as well. I wonder why? Could be that it simply benchmarks it all. Sure it has the quality.

That recording just works and I have listened to it numerous times. Loads.

Wonder who made this recording back then. And how. But it is pure magic it survived and surfaced to this day.

Yup, in-depth sleeve notes by Tim Lawrence. More info also at http://www.noblepr.co.uk/Press_Releases ... theque.htm and there's a link there to a Word document which runs down track by track - this is not in the sleeve notes! Number 2 club in this series will be Paradise Garage.

The ever excellent Blue Room show on Radio 1 promoted this compilation this morning (Saturday June 3.). And guess what track they played. Ahhh Pacific State of course. Even honoured by being selected as the milkman tune.

Eventually catch it on demand.

I just got hold of this and it is an excellent package. Great sound quality and many instrumental mixes, which I like.

One thing caugt my attention. The Klein & MBO - Dirty Talk has sections that reminiscens the start of Voodoo Ray a lot. Indeed Manchester anthem that Gerald has used for inspiration when creating those sounds and effects.

I can't praise this collection enough. It's not often compilations are put together with such love for the music. Rare track versions and so much research, which results in a great booklet - fantastic reading. Thinks, could it be that this is the first time this version of Pacific has been released on CD?

If it's the Quadrastate album version, wasn't that released on the 3" CD single, or is it another version?

it's on the new 'Hacienda Classics' one out now (mixed by Peter Hook), I dunno if that came out first...it's been mixed but it is the Quadrastate version.

In fact, got Quadrastate last Sunday...'State Ritual'-is pure acid power.

The original Pacific State appeared on the 3x cd Rennaisance compilation released last year.

It also appeared on the 3" cd release of Pacific.
