Well this is one for Nick, but I'll try to answer it. Could it be this? From Nick's site:
"Voodoo Ray" gets the remix treatment (by Jeff Mills), and is released as a 12" and CD single via Sugoi in 2005."

There have actually been three different bootlegs of this released recently (The clip links take you to the Hard To Find Records page on that release - there should be a listen to MP3 icon in the top right hand corner of each page).:

- the DJ Spen remix b/w Original/Paradise remixes clip
- the Hoxton Whores remix clip
- Muskat vs Phodo clip

The most common one around at the moment is the DJ Spen remix, which seems to be languishing around HMV for a tenner - quite pricey for a brand new, plentiful, bootleg, if you ask me! :P

Anyway, let us know if it's any of the above?

The Jeff Mills mix isn't out until this Spring (together with the rest of the Sugoi reissues - i.e. '28 Gun Bad Boy'/'Hot Lemonade'/'Black Secret Technology'/'Machine Room Sessions Vol 1 & 2' albums). These have been delayed so as not to coincide with the promotions for the new Gerald album, "To All Things What They Need", which is out via K7 next Monday.

Hi ya Graham,

The Machine Room sessions are essentially a compilation of Gerald's drum'n'bass Juicebox years, that were previously only available on vinyl.

I know this, as I helped to compile them! :D

Cheers Rodders, must check out that Hoxton Whores bootleg at some point! :D

Haven't yet heard the Jeff Mills remix, but that does sound like a marriage made in heaven - it will be released by Gerald's new label, Sugoi, in the Spring (the latest release date), which I'm definitely looking forward to.

curious if anyone has any info on a possible reissue of the voodoo ray ep...

i have seen on nick's page that this spring, there will be a reissue of the remixes, am i to assume that the original ep will be included as well?

this would make for good news, indeed...wishful thinking, i suppose...

i am most keen on somehow acquiring the original 12" ep, however
i would very much so like to get the ep on cd format as well (without paying too much for the original limited cd release) am i not alone on this?

Hi ya,

As far as I'm aware, the b-sides to the original EP won't be included on the reissue 12", so no "Escape", "Blow Your House Down", or "Rhapsody On Acid", I'm afraid.

There is a chance that these might be included in the related 12"'s that are released together with the Hot Lemonade album, but I can't say for certain - yet!

I do know that at some point last year, "Blow Your House Down" was supposed to have been reissued with remixes by Ben Simms and Gerald himself via Ben's "Theory Records" label, but this hasn't yet materialised (and may never?).

As for getting hold of the original CD single, it's pretty rare - I recently gave my spare copy to a friend of Gerald's! I'll keep an eye out for you, and it also appears on e-bay from time to time.
