Yup, Tom Jones 'Love Can't Turn Around' is my most wanted too. Second one is Soundgarden 'Black Hole Sun'. Ian Peel has a cassette of the Art Of Noise 'Moments in Love' but has it under locks so far. According to Graham the remix isn't his greatest however.

I thought I had Black Hole Sun on tape somewhere too, but I can't find it. I remember hearing it tho (and can still hear it in my head, which is quite a feat)...

If I remember correctly Moments in Love was an 808 mix..its hard to beat the origenal ,The trouble is with these things is we dont own them and they are pretty traceable to ,well ,us.
mymum has a copy of the Tom Jones one and that would be on her toes if it gets out.

Except of course, it was released! :D

As an extra track on a Tom Jones Japanese CD called "The Lead And How To Swing It" (1996; EastWest/Interscope - AMC-777) - available here http://www.hmv.co.jp/product/detail.asp?sku=985658 (13-tracks)

(Note: It's *ONLY* available on the Japanese version, not any other one!)

In very small lettering on the back, it says:

"13. I Can't Turn Around (Love Can't) - Produced by 808 State
* Bonus Track"

Running at 4:25, very good it is too!

Oh, and the Soundgarden mix is mentioned here http://home.earthlink.net/~srusselljr/sg1.html, but confirms that it remains unreleased:

"Two different remixes of "Black Hole Sun" were completed by 808 State , but Soundgarden decided not to release the remixes to the public. Maybe someday in a box set? :-)"

2 mixes? :-?

Just received my copy from HMV Japan, thats quite a few orders from them now and I couldn't be happier:D . I see what you mean about the small writing, hold the cover with your thumb in the wrong place and you wouldn't know it was there! Top Track considering it's about ten years old now.

Blimey, that was quick, John! Did you request ultra speedy delivery, then? :P

Yeah, damn good track - it's been on constant play for the past couple of days - why it was a Japanese-only release, God only knows??

I ordered using their standard international delivery which uses Fedex, this usually means it takes about two days to get to the UK and then another week to get to Northern Ireland :x . I'm still a little shocked and stunned by it all!

Nick is now called 'Agent Nick', "because he's like the FBI, when finding releases" says Graham Massey.
The truth is out there...

Got my CD a few days ago. Well worth the money just for the 808-produced track, but also for Tom's cover of 'Situation' by Yazoo!
Slight sidetrack: I wasn't home when the Fedex man came, so got it delivered to work, where all mail is opened by the receptionist lady. Image the scene: she burtsts into my office, which I share with a few others, and says "Ooh, I thought only women liked Tom Jones, but I see Markus has ordered a Tom Jones CD and especially from Japan too!"
Since then I get strange looks and knowning smiles from people at work :)
I get mine back everytime I walk into work though, by asking the receptionist if there are any Tom Jones CD's for me in the mail...
