The element editions of 808:90 (16 tracks) and ex:el (23 tracks) are being released on cassette by Canadian label Artoffact. Previously only available on double CD format, these cassettes are limited to 150 copies worldwide and for collectors they come in eight different shell colours! All releases include digital download codes for all tracks. Available for pre-order now through stormingthebase.com, shipping is planned for 29 July.

In other release news, out now: Jon Hassell - City: Works Of Fiction (triple CD). It includes a track called Brigantes, which is in fact an edit of Voiceprint (808 Mix #2 Latin in it Mix), released in 1990. |
A possible future release has been rumoured on the Hardfloor Facebook page; on 10 June they asked "would you like to hear a Hardfloor Remix of 808 State?" :) |

The April 2014 issue of Sound On Sound magazine features an extensive interview (six pages) with Graham Massey on Pacific State as their Classic Track. The beginning of the interview is on the Sound On Sound website. Available at news shops now. Graham talked about the TR-808's influence on Radio 4's Today show on Friday. It's also on Radio 4's Pick Of The Week today (starts at 18:15 UK time) Graham's 6mix transmitted 14 February 2014 on BBC Radio 6 Mix is now available for download from the Radio Show page. In this 42-track show Graham picks a selection of musical influences before launching into a special Manchester mix. |
