I like Time Bomb because it's campy.

I heard one of their new ones with vocals on a local dance show by chance and it reminded me of early 80's YMO.

Could the TR 707 BD1 or the kick drum from a Lynn drum be making a come back?

So I was listening to this compilation on Tommy Boy called Slam Jams and there is a track called "Poppa's Got A Brand New Pigbag - Pigbag".

The sax or er...clarinet part sound a lot like what you hear on Don Solaris.

Well DS seems to go in a slightly different direction production, sound wise.
The tracks you listed have that repetitive melody/ lead part.

Cubik from UTD 90 has a lot going on in it. One of my favorite versions.

If 808 State and Kraftwerk collaborated on an album and it was a mix of Electric Cafe and Gorgeous. (without the vocals)
They both have that studio polished quirkiness to them in the use of clean sampling, effects, and melody.

hmmm.. I have to disagree.
More unique than the usual Prodigy sounding rave tune from that time period.
