I believe 808 now own the rights to Outpost, and it would make sense for ZTT to distribute it, I think it's pretty hard to find since Circus went bust.

Art Of Noise boxset now shipping
Forgive me posting in this topic, but it is related to 808state and I wanted to bump it up. I think 808 are next in line for ZTT re-releases, so it's good news that the Art Of Noise set is out now. Note that if you order this week you should be eligible for a free bonus disc. I've ordered a copy. This is good news, as it means 808 will be sooner rather than later. It looks a nice box set, I hope there is as much put into the 808 releases. And at £30 its not a bad buy.

I can't praise this CD box enough - it's fantastic! Buy it today from ZTT and get the free promo CD (last day today) or get it tomorrow at play, slightly cheaper.

A small update on the re-releases; rumours have it ZTT are going to do the four major releases, i.e. 90, ex:el, Gorgeous & Don Solaris. I suppose we can live without North & Outpost. Of course I would have preferred all releases, but for some time it looked as if it was only going to be 90 & ex:el for starters, so this is good news in a way. Disclaimer: totally unconfirmed, don't quote me on that, etc, etc...

Hopefully ZTT will see sense after the re-releases as Outpost is a great album (which is still very modern and original) plus it is a great oppertunity for a fantastic bonus disc. Perhaps if the sales of the reissues go well then ZTT might have a rethink (+NIAIH).

Anyway looking forward to the release.

When you think about it - if the releases still all have there bonuses - we are talking about the biggest 808 State release ever - how exiting!

Some boxsets have an image on the side of each casing that when put side to side form a complete picture. I was looking forward to seeing the 808 logo adopting this idea or eight releases with a number or letter on each to form 808state when seen from the side. Not that this would have happened anyway.

Still, something to look forward to, we wait with baited breath.

arrghh dammit! ZTT have got to release them all! I only got into 808 State after Outpost Transmission was released and was looking forward to being able to catch up on their releases. I have NAIH on vinyl but bonus disc and remastering!!!

and it's hardly like ZTT have anything else to release...although a Shades Of Rhythm reissue thing would be nice that's never going to happen (and not really the point). Damn.

I'm not complaining. A full catalogue release would be heaven, but I will take any 808 releases as they are now so sparse.

Looking forward to the re-releases, it will be as exciting as going out and buying the originals was, only slightly better as we'll be buying several at once!
