But there's still too many Pacific mixes on there... :)

Oh, and the 909 Mellow Birds Mega Edit together with the Bonus Bird Beats are exactly the same as Pacific 909, which makes more sense! 8)

What about rare outtakes from the 90 sessions? I'm sure there must be more material archived somewhere, be they original demo versions of existing tracks (like the version of Magical Dream available on this web site) or unfinished tracks, etc.

I think they'd be more interest to hear than the five billion remixes of Pacific we've all heard to death. (As someone else suggested, a dedicated Pacific remix album would probably be a more ideal home for this sort of thing.)

@ newbuild

I would like to see the bonus releases being a somewhat album of it self. Rather than a container of everything. I know I conpromise that myself by suggesting 5 versions of Pacific on there. But that is because they are important 808 heritage. And the versions are one of each style if you will. And one is unreleased.

But I would love to see good demos from the era. Remastered.

I'm beginning to warm up for the Utd State tracks, but not for loads of Pacific mixes.

Pacific 606
Pacific 2006

plus another fifteen and voila 808's answer to The Shamen's 'Progeny'

i agree with solarex about the bonus disk being like an album of itself,
and especially with sonance about possible unreleased material...

my list was pretty much a 'container', as solarex says of pacific/pacific remixes/ep of dance...that left 30 minutes for unreleased material...ie not remix or utd state 90 (am i alone in my wishes?)

hi nick-do you think four mixes of pacific are too many on a possible 12 to 15-track cd? perhaps...i don't know...those mixes would near 25 minutes total in length...and that is less than a third of the cd...

i agree that pacific is an important 808 track, but its also an important gcg track, too-i prefer the original mix...but i am curiuos about the mixes which appeared on the original 12" releases, which i have not heard.

but then a bonus cd that is packed mostly with previously released material does sound a bit strange, now that i think about it...

i just want an easy way to get all the singles in one purchase-remastered-i guess i was thinking too much of myself!

could you make it a three disk please? :)

I still think that the main album should be a hybrid of 90 and utd90. But with cubik and the two US mixes removed ( or just keep one):

90:

Pacific 202
Boneyween
Ancodia 90 mix
Kinky National
Cobra bora (with or without intro on the 90mix??).
Magical Dream
808080808 (with intro or ending sorted out-as its separated on utd90).
Revenge of the Girlie men
Donkey Doctor
Sunrise
State to State
Fat Shadow
Perhaps Pacific 212

The removal of Cubik and the two US pacifics would leave space for a couple tracks or perhaps pacific 909. All space should be sacred!!

Bonus track material:

Pacific 909 (if not on the album)
Cobra bora - call the cops
Ancodia - tatters deep
Pacific 303 (for the newbies)

DYTD - Bassless mix if limited room on the Mc TunesCD. This is a stand alone track and works well with the ones from 90.

Other ideas:

Other mixes of the fat shadow must exist in the vaults - if not I have limited quams about timelines in opposition to new mixes of old songs.

And in relation to the above if Cobra bora live94 isnt gonna be on the gorgeous bonus can it be put on here, as well as the latest live offering of cobrabora. Does any good live versions of 90 tracks exsist?

Hey and shouldnt 808091 be here even though it was performed a year later?

I quite like the idea of pacific 909 being segmented - but thinking about it is there any point to doing that? And itsa huge belting excursion - would you want to break that up?

Any chance of the freak beats version of State ritual. It wouldnt be taking the quadrastate version away and would complement kinky national. And also would kindof promote the quadrastate album.

As with all the albums any good unheard material from the vaults or remixes or even current reworkings would be great.

Three disk sets would make choosing the tracks easier for everyone! How about the 30 minute mix of Pacific that people talked about last year - if that turned up it would fill half the CD (if it exists).

No way. In my eyes these re-issues is not about puting out container CDs packed to the limit with all sorts of things like b-sides, remixes and live.

It is about making the definitive releases containing almost all 808 State tracks released on their own records. And in the best sound quality. All original albums should remain as they where. Only remastered. The bonus disk should be compiled with style and sense.

In no particular order:

The tracks from US90 (NOT Pacific mixes or Cubik).
Pacific 909.
Live Pacific from Optical (I agree with Solarex, it must exist somewhere).
If not, Pacific 0101.
Magical Dream - Demo version.

The whole issue about creating the optimum CD album full of tracks sits well with me. It is better to make the most of this opportunity to get as many tracks as posible for the release!

The Ideas for re-released albums are mainly based on exsisting versions of the album. ie Quincy on end of outpost Like the Jap release, Utd 90s tracks, chisler/bonded on DS and I only suggested the changes to Gorgeous because of the bad perception of the album in the past.

Its all very well staying true to the original but we and the paying public will be shedding a load of money for this - so buying a complete collection of tunes that I already own is not really top of my agenda. So hopefuly it will have as many as posible unheard, demo, non CD tracks or even new stuff along side the original album and comercial mixes.

This is only my view and I know whatever the tracklisting I will end up Buying the re-releases as soon as they are released. It will be difficult to keep everyone happy but at least we are putting across what we would like out of the albums/Bonus disks. I think I will start saving now!

Does anyone else think that the Bassless mix of DYTD would go well on the 90 Bonus?
Looking at the Mc Tunes Bonus it looks like there could be a vast amount of mixes for this song. It always ended up taped with my copy of 90 and to me it goes well with those tracks - what does everyone else think?
