@ Badgerman

No.

Sort out the relevant tracks for the Tunes bonus CD. And leave the rest for vinyl/collectors/trainspotters.

Havn't been around to find my fave mix of Bites. But I will.

I'm about to compile the definitive wishlist for 90. Just compared the Taters deep nit funky beat mix of Ancodia with the Utd. State 90 version. Not much difference is there, except that the Taters mix on the 12" is about 20 seconds longer? Is that the reason why nobody mentioned the Utd 90 version?
Also has anyone actually heard the radio edit of Ancodia? Solarex? Is it worth putting edits on? In most cases an edit is simply a shorter version of the original, right?

Cheers, but for the moment I just need to know if the edit is different. As there was no feedback, I've left out edits.
I've now compiled 90 ideas into the main overview. If there are any errors or things that I've forgotten let me know here.

How do people feel about this for a possible inclusion?
Jon Hassell vs. 808 State - Voiceprint (808 Mix #2 - Latin In It Mix).
Not rare, but an idea. The Radio mix # 2 (also by 808) would be slightly rarer.

well... it's not an 808 track but a remix....er... well I guess I'd want that one too but not in the ninety bonus disc, it would kinda ruin the structure... lemme see... hmmm.... maybe... just maybe... ztt should release an 808 remix album... I know.... the royalties and copyright issues.... blah blah blah.... but, let's make it an effort, it would be sensational - even if incomplete.

markus, just curious, is there any reason for you asking about that particular remix?

my personal feeling is no, because a) it's a remix not an original work, and b) it opens up the other discs to the same question, and it's been hard work agreeing on 808's own material never mind if & what remixes should be included :D

i think everyone is in agreement that 808 need their own remix album.

Sorry to confuse the issue. I got carried away after listening to the fantastic Skin Up Pin Up 808 vs Mansun. So I was thinking that this was a collaboration too, rather than a remix. But now I'm unsure. I'll start a new topic on that.

Remix project already has a topic here: compilation of remixes?
Collaboration question is here: Which collaborations are more than a remix?

Why doubt it? Plenty of stores are listing it. Simply a re-release. After all, it was first released as far back as 1990. :)

Ah, good old reliable HMV! :P

That "Best Of" Electronic album they listed back in January was suddenly cancelled - dunno where they get their info from, but it's seriously flawed! 8)

Oh, and whilst I'm on an HMV rant, their mail order is cr*p, with rubbish packaging (how come those records don't get damaged with such flimsy packaging, I'll never know?), long delays on delivery (if something is pre-ordered, then we at least expect the item to arrive within the same week as release, not FOUR weeks afterwards), ridiculous postage amounts for foreign countries (how MUCH for multiple items?), etc...

Just say NO! :P

Same response here as with ex:el. Don't worry about released remixes - get final, mastered, nice clean copies of all those DEMOS as posted on the Web site, and dig up the rest. Nothing would beat formative or alternative mixes of those tracks (cf., the recent Art of Noise box set).

It seems to be back on the schedule now.
According to Amazon it will be released on Sep 18.
And it will have a bonus DVD!
