808 In The City
I was trying keeping my thoughs of Tool-Shed clear in mind, what a truely amazing experience. My review is over @ http://www.Tool-Shed.com
And to be truely honest, I couldn't really remember enough to put a report together, I hoped Pete would have come up with something, considering he had a better view of the show. I was running around and all over the stage trying to get pictures in what seemed a very tight space. Squeezing past security and equipement trying to get some decent shots.
Have to admit though, it was great fun with Eric dancing at the back, Andy's sister taking pictures, and the kids running all over the stage during the performance, as Andy put it on MTV 'Dadchester'.
The only thing that lessened the whole experience was the fact that the gig was shortened but at least I got to hear Massey doing the vocoder on my current fav '606', and from about three feet away at that!
Of course backstage was the extended 808 family including Darren's Mum and family and some of the Tool-Shed/Homelife personnel (And yes Markus, Seaming was there), a really friendly atmosphere and a couple of beers.
Cheers,
John
