Bought another copy of Finitribe "101" to work out which tracks on my promo were the Massey mixes. As the label on the sleave said Massey mix but the record was unlabelled. Found out why I couldnt spot the Massey mixes - the record shop had miss-labelled it! It contains 4 different mixes than the 2xMassey and the Scooby doo and shaggy mix.
Can see why Graham was a bit anoyed as they have completely reworked his version. They should have at least put in Grahams original take on the song.
The record does have a redeaming feature though: at the end of the longer edit the record loops and produces an atmospheric carriage clock chime sound which if you had a very good record deck and needle the end could go for infinity. This of course could get a bit boring! But what a brilliant idea. Why dont more records end with groovey loops or drum loops so the record can go on until you fade it out? Perhaps some exsist already?!
Havnt found the 808 mega mix titled "IYF remix" yet - Im pretty sure it still exsists somewhere in my large unlabelled tape collection. I have listened through a large batch and found things that I didnt realise I had. But I have not come across it yet. Markus any chance of a MP3 download of the Outlander mix (Markus Salon) to see if its the same and to just have a copy.
