Loving myspace at the moment. Graham keeps his page updated with fresh tracks, news and comment. Two toolshed tracks on there at the mo are worth a listen. Ive not ventured into the world of toolshed yet. Maybe after some more listens I'll be tempted.

It appears we have the same astronomical interests, not sure about the curries though :D

Yes, suppose I should add them to the links page. I've been meaning to ask for a while: Myspace, good or bad? It seems with many bands myspace has become more important than their own sites. What puzzles me is why people want to share really intimate thoughts with the rest of the world. Still, it opens new channels I suppose. Will it last, or just another passing fad? Let's have a heated debate!
Moving this to 808 forum.

Thanks :)
What puzzles me, how can you tell if the site is by an artist or a fan? I don't think you can.

No, it can be difficult!
There are some fans that are honest 'bout it, though; but there are sure as hell a lot of 'em, who aren't!
Check out the news posted 5/24 at http://daveclarke.com/ - just as an example...

P.S. visit: http://myspace.com/dee3dk - NOT run by a fan, I may add!

Im really enjoying my space, most of it just goes on like and message board but you cant see that, thats the private bit,I think for a lot of people comunicating with photo and drawing/videos etc is an advance .Id love to be able to put stuff up here like that (maay be i can?).Its also great for me to get feedback on tracks, put up gig stuff you get a lot more passers by who might be curious and ive certainly got the past few gigs from my space also other connections that may be use to go on on a night out ,interviews invites and hearing lots of good new music..its like having a shop window.I think also the tone of it is informal which helps,,lots of people arent who they say they are but you soon build your own comunity and ive found it most usefull for keeping in touch with your real mates, if i need to know if i can fit something in i can just check out diarys and get reminders about stuff,or the most comman message is are you going to the pub? it seems your blinking red light reminds people that your just louching at the computer and probably need to be dragged away from it.
on the whole the world is a friendlier place for it,corporate ones you can delete but ive found some great websites off it ,I can only think it helps support the other sites ,theyre all linked ,Im quite suprised how many 808
influenced people theyre claim to be out there ,not evry one comes to our site (or may be just the forum) but ive been actively promoting 808state.com,you have to assume that evry one is fairly web lazy.

Think that Graham quite nicely summed things up regarding myspace...

it helps to get a broader view of who your talking to,otherwise its like talking through a keyhole,i think people should flesh out their profiles on this forum
it helps to put a face to people.
right lets see if i can stick a photo here as an experiment
