On one of the topics I posted, well the only one so far, nickking mentioned that 808 State were to be featured in this issue.
Well there not! I only went and feckin bought the thing before getting home and realised that they arent featured till the next issue!!
So if anyone wants to know anything about Genesis give me a shout!
Look forward to getting the next issue, and I will check it features 808 before buying.

The latest edition of the Record Collector - out this week - *DOES* have a feature on 808 State!
Includes interviews with Graham, Gerald and (a little bit) Martin as well as the Aphex Twin and Sean Booth from Autechre. The article is wholly concerned with both Newbuild and Prebuild, and doesn't cover any other aspects of 808's career.
There is not a discography with the feature, only a list of the top 5 808 rarities (lifted directly from the Record Collector price guide book) which, annoyingly, still lists the "Extended Pleasures Of Dance" CD single as existing... Still never seen (nor met anybody who has it) a copy of this, so my guess is that either there were only a few copies available (like under 10) or it doesn't exist at all!
Still, a good read, and provides some fascinating (as usual) insights from both Graham and Gerald on the Newbuild-era material.
