Bob 808?

Just heard Robbie Williams new track and it has a reference to drop the bass - 808 or something like that. Is this a reference to the guys or is he simply referring to the TR-808?

I know Graham remixed Radio and he is a Manc lad who admits to attending some late 80's early 90's raves, so this could be a reference.

Or of course another explanation, which also links to the Millenium video (where the combination code is 808) could be simply that 808 looks like BOB?
