Facts:

• Recorded during 2001 and 2002 at Testa Rossa Studios, Manchester. See images taken during recording in 2001.
• The Japanese bonus track 'Quincy' is slightly different to the version released on 7" in 1999. It's about 15 seconds longer. This is what Graham Massey said: "We re-mixed it in Testa Rossa when we were doing the album, it's quite different in the synths, but the arrangement's the same".
• Vocalists: Simon Lord (on 606) appears courtesy of Simian, Guy Garvey (on Lemonsoul) appears courtesy of Elbow, The Rev. D. Wayne Love and Larry Love (on Crossword) appear courtesy of Alabama3.
• The double LP spreads the tracks as follows: Tracks 1-3 (Side One), Tracks 4-7 (Side Two), Tracks 8-11 (Side Three), Tracks 12-14 (Side Four).

FAQs:

• Question: Where is my Japanese booklet? Answer: Take a very close look - it's there! It takes some work with your finger nails!
• Question: Will the album be released in America / Europe / Australia etc? Answer: As soon as Circus Records let us know, it will be published here... Update: US release due 1 April 2003.
• Question: My UK CD is a strange pinkish colour! Answer: Apparently there were some printing problems, don't be alarmed... If you are, get the Japanese pressing.
• Question: My highstreet shop doesn't carry Outpost Transmission. Answer: Most HMVs carry it. Otherwise order online, see 'Ordering'.
• Question: Are Ian Brown and Billy Corgan featured on the album? Answer: No. 808 State wanted them, but it didn't materialise. 808 produced some tracks for Ian back in February of 1999 (see news) that remain unreleased.
